Bike Taupo members are always apreciate Cafe's in the area for their "Bike Friendlieness". Criteria included for example:
- Maps available
- Water Bottle refill available
- Mud caked faces and pants OK ?
- Staff local knowledge
- Major Sponsor

Legendary little caf� on Rifle Range road that passed into history when we sorted out the agreement for W2K over two short blacks and a latte.
One of the original caf�s that backed us when we had no money but thought we had legendary ideas. Has great food, great coffee and staff happy to see people covered in mud with smiles on there faces.

The one that started it all.
Is a very busy caf� top end of Heuheu street. Like all of the cafes they only make the grade because they make good coffee...
The place is always alive with people.
Big supporters of Bike Taupo over the ages and right into what we a trying to achieve.

Pete the guy that owns it has been a long term supporter and is also a nutter about making coffee.
He keeps buying a selling his cafes so we have to keep changing is add on the map. Really supports the locals.
This caf� is open in the evening as well so you can slip into it for a evening meal to be ready for the riding the next day.
The caf� is on Ruapehu Street with plenty of places to park your treadlie

Tucked around the back on Paora Hapi street, opposite St. John's Ambulance, this caf� is into super healthy food to fuel you for the long rides.
They are right into people leading a healthy life so the bike racks are right out side the door. Bread is to die for and so is the sea food chowder

Out at Wairakei next to the entry to the Tunnel track.
Jeff hit the place like a bomb going off and has got the place zinging.
Good coffee and food after hitting the tracks around Wairakei. Sell our maps so you can’t get lost.

Out at Kinloch down by the Harbour.
Slip in for a coffee or go for an evening meal after taking on W2K or Kawakawa Bay tracks and dream about the future when we may have a 100 km route from the front door of the caf�.
Ask Wally (owns the caf�) about boat drop off in Kawakawa bay or Whakaipo Bay, he’s right into it what we are doing.
If you are a roadie Kinloch is a great place to base yourself for a ride around the country roads in the local area heaps of parking in the reserve next to the caf�

L' Arte Guys and girls this is one to drop the non riding partner of while you rip over to Kinloch on W2K
They are right into the art scene as well as having a great little caf� in the garden.
Perfect spot to stop for a fuel up while on a road ride coming home at the top of the hill. It’s on the hill behind Acacia Bay on the way to Whakaipo Bay
