The weather was fine, the tracks were hard and fast, and 35 Teams gathered at Wairakei Forest for the Life Cycles Teams Race.
The
un-stoppable Rotorua team of Clinton and Murray Avery took overall
First Place glory, with Taupo man Carwyn May riding as an individual
taking second place overall. And just proving that age is no
barrier, fourth place overall was taken by a Taupo college team "The 3
Retardz".
It was great to have family teams involved too, maintaining a good lap average and having fun doing it.
All up you collectively rode 329 laps of the course, so 2237 kilometers of MTB single track were enjoyed!
