Course Details
For those of you who are familiar with the MTB tracks in Wairakei Forest, here is the full detail of the courses.
17 km Fun Course (Loop 1)
Start on gravel road, through car park, and then part of Corkscrew, Squirt, part of Q-Line Road, Paintball (including Carwyn's New Extension), Fast Eddie, part of Bumble Bee, last parts of Ferret and Tourist Trap, through car park again (just for the spectators!), Lake Hire Link 1, part of Tankstand, Ground Effect Grinder, Mr & Mrs, Better than P, part of Young Pines, Corral, Walters Wiggles, Lake Hire Link 2, and back to car park to finish.
We didn't say its an easy course, but we do guarantee it will be fun! Mr & Mrs is a new track, with great bermed corners and flow, and it goes on and on (just like my Mrs). You just have to do it!
30 km Championship Course (Loop 2)
Do Loop 1 as above, but split off at the end of Walters Wiggles. Up Tankstand (again, but doing all of it this time, with those nice "sweepers" on the downhill side), Drone loop, Outback, uphill part of Retro (just to boost the heart rate), Luge (but not the see saw), bottom end of Slaylom, Corral, Incline, Coaster, Lake Hire Link 2, and back to car park to finish.
Its only 30 km, but your legs will know they've been working!
