PF Olsen is planning to begin harvesting of several Eucalyptus stands in the Wairakei Forest - NW of Taupo.  We understand your club is the main contact for the mountain bikers using this area recreationally.  The operation will begin over the next week or so and is expected to be completed early October.

The area we will be operating in is the most NW end of the forest - nearest Poihipi Rd.  We would appreciate recreational use of the following forest roads and surrounding area restricted temporarily to weekend use only for obvious health and safety reasons.  Signage will be in place to notify public however it would be great if you are also able to notify mountain bikers.

• Eucalyptus Rd
• Karapiti Rd (top section nearest Poihipi Rd)
