MTB Evening Handicap Series 2010
With a new course the famous MTB handicap series is back.
Starting on Thursday evening the 14th of January 2010,
and running each Thursday for ten weeks.
Be there for registration by 5.40pm for a 6.00pm start.
Based at Wairakei Forest, MTB car park on Powerline Rd.

Thanks to Huka Cycles (your local Scott Cycles people) there will be some spot prizes
each evening.
The cost to enter is $5 per person each evening (free to Taupo MTB Club members).
This is a handicap event, starting in groups, with the fastest riders leaving last. The course will
be around 8 km in length of flowing singletrack. You will need a bike in good repair, a helmet and legs.
All MTB riders who can handle the distance are welcome (younger riders unsure of the area should be accompanied
by a competent adult).
If you are familiar with the tracks the first course is. Lake Hire Link, all of Tank Stand to Cornershop Connection, Outback to the twin bridges. Slalom, Walters Wiggles, Lake Hire Link, Corkscrew via squirt and back to the carpark to finish.
We are running a mass start for those wishing to do two laps, which will start at 6.00pm sharp.
Register on the night. Ride as many or as few as you like (however you will get addicted).
