Results for the latest round of the Huka Cycles Summer Series are now posted.
Wow another great turnout of riders this week. I am amazed that is still lots of new riders still coming along and enjoying the racing. We have had a total of 238 riders that have done at least one race. Awesome!!
The new course seems to be testing the riders at bit more but there is still the regulars putting in some great performances.
For the single lappers it was once again Dean Pritchard taking it out from youngster Jordan Thurston by only 21 seconds. For the ladies Katie Collins backed up her singlespeed win the week before taking it from the experienced local Katey Coubrough by just 26 seconds. Great to see such competitive racing.
For the two lappers it was pretty much Bradley Setters day winning by 1 min 24 seconds from Vincent Fletcher. Gretta Donaldson put in an excellent ride to break the hour mark this week, being the quickest two lap lady by nearly 4 mins.
Not to be out done, the most sportmanslike award goes to Matt Jensen, after checking on a fellow rider that had fallen he decided to play chicken with a tree. Lets just put it this way, the tree won. Thanks to those who stopped to see if Matt was ok. If you are not allowed to ride that Santa Cruz anymore Matt I would gladly take it off your hands for free.
