Round 3 - Race 2

Looks like the course change worked well this week without too much congestion on the tracks.

The handicap system is working really well. Most people finishing in and around their handicap group.

The finish line marshals processed 120 finishers in 43 minutes. Just awesome.

Make sure you give them a thanks as you cross the line (if you’re not to tapped).

So the “rolling start” wasn’t a hit amongst the back end starters in the 2 lap race.

We’ll get it sussed for next week. Good competition again in the 1 lap bunches.

Try and find out who the front runner is in your handicap group at the start line then try and hold their wheel for as long as you can.

Once again, please be sensible about your race tactics in particular when overtaking.

THE RIDER IN FRONT ALWAYS HAS THE RACE LINE! You will be pulled into line if you are caught out for being too aggressive.

Common sense would suggest that the second half of Walter’s Wiggles is pretty much a no overtaking zone.

If you get caught behind a slower rider then it is time to save your legs for a sprint finish or a second crack up Tank Stand.
