Hello All Mountain Bikers,
Bike Taupo and Taupo Mountain Bike Club are running one Teams Race only this year.  Date is Sunday 5th of June (Queen's Birthday weekend).  This is a fun event, for teams of up to 4 people.  Individuals welcome also.
Ground Effect (the cycle clothing people, of Christchurch), and The Corner Shop (your Avanti Pro Cycle Centre in Taupo) are the major sponsors, so as always there will be lots of good spot prizes.
A few weeks later, there will be a new cross country event, the "Ground Effect Craters Classic" with a 30 km full course, with some good climbs and descents.  Date is Sunday 10th of July.  On the day entry only.  This is an event for individuals.  The course covers some old, new and very new tracks.
Ground Effect (the cycle clothing people, of Christchurch), and The Corner Shop (your Avanti Pro Cycle Centre in Taupo) are the major sponsors, so there will be lots of good spot prizes.
The event location is Wairakei Forest, based on the MTB car park up Craters Road (opposite Helistar).
Mark it on your calendar now!
